How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication for Uphold
To enhance the security of your uphold account, enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a must. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up 2FA using the Authenticator App.

STEP 01
Download and Install Authenticator App
For iOS: Visit the App Store and search for "Authenticator App" Download and install the app.
For Android: Head to the Google Play Store, search for "Authenticator App" and install it.

Log in to your Uphold account
Log in to your uphold account.

Locate 2FA settings
Log in to your Uphold account and click on the More button, then click Security and click on the Enable 2-factor authentication.

Enable 2FA
This is an informational page about 2-factor authentication. Click Enable when you’re ready to start.

Capture QR Code
A QR Code containing the secret key will appear, which you need to scan with the Authenticator App. Keep this page open as you reach for your device.

Set up Two-factor authentication
Open Authenticator App, tap the plus (+) button, and hold your device up to the computer screen to scan the QR code.
You can also manually enter the 2FA key into your authenticator app if you prefer.

Verify the 2-factor authentication code
After successfully scanning the QR code, the Authenticator App will automatically choose the Uphold logo and autofill the account name and secret key.
Once your Uphold account has been successfully added to the Authenticator App, enter the 6-digit code on the Uphold website and click Continue.

Confirm Enabling Two-Factor Authentication
Open the Authenticator App and copy the current code. After that, return to the Bittrex website, paste the code, and press "Save Two-Factor Authentication."
