Securing your TikTok account with Two-Step Verification (2FA) provides an added layer of protection. Using the Authenticator App for 2FA ensures that only you can access your account, even if someone knows your password. Follow these steps to enable 2FA and enhance your account’s security.
Step By Step Guide

For iOS: Visit the App Store and search for "Authenticator App" Download and install the app.
For Android: Head to the Google Play Store, search for "Authenticator App" and install it.

Launch the TikTok app on your mobile device. Tap your profile icon in the bottom right corner to go to your profile page. Then, tap the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner to open the menu.

In the menu, look for the Settings and Privacy option and tap on it. From the options that appear, select Security.

Under the Security section, find the Two-Step Verification option. You’ll be prompted to choose an authentication method. Select Password and Authenticator App as your authentication methods, and tap Turn On to proceed.

TikTok will now generate a QR Code. This QR code contains the secret key you’ll need to link your account to the Authenticator App. Take a screenshot of this screen and follow the steps in the next section.
Note: Avoid scanning the demo QR Code shown on the page.

Open the Authenticator App and tap the "+" button to add a new account. Then, scan the QR Code you captured in the previous step. This will automatically link TikTok to your Authenticator App.

Once the QR Code is successfully scanned, the Authenticator App will automatically fill in the TikTok account name and secret key. You can customize the account icon for easier identification. Click Save to complete this step.

Return to the TikTok app. In the Enter Verification Code field, paste the verification code generated by the Authenticator App. Click Verify to confirm the setup.
