How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication for Shopify
To enhance the security of your Shopify account, enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a must. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up 2FA using the Authenticator App.

STEP 01
Download and Install Authenticator App
For iOS: Visit the App Store and search for "Authenticator App" Download and install the app.
For Android: Head to the Google Play Store, search for "Authenticator App" and install it.

STEP 02
Log in to your Shopify account
Log in to your Shopify account.

Locate 2FA settings
From your Shopify admin, click your username and account picture.
Click Manage account > Security.

Enable 2FA
In the authentication methods section, click Turn on two-step.
Verify your account.
Enter your password, and then click Next.
From the Authentication method list, select the Authenticator app.

Verify 2FA Code
Enter the six-digit code that is generated by your authenticator app, and then click Turn on.
Open the authenticator app. Tap on the plus (+) icon. Scan the QR code in the app.

You're all set!
Your two-factor authentication is on. Save your recovery codes in case you lose access to your mobile device.
Make sure you store them in a safe location that you can access in multiple ways, such as from your mobile device, your desktop computer, and a printed document.
