To enhance the security of your Instagram account, enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a must. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up 2FA using the Authenticator App.
Step By Step Guide

STEP 01
For iOS: Visit the App Store and search for "Authenticator App" Download and install the app.
For Android: Head to the Google Play Store, search for "Authenticator App" and install it.

Go to your Instagram profile page and tap the menu icon in the top right-hand corner.

Select the Settings option from the list. Go to settings and tap on security.

Locate 2FA settings in security. Tap on Two-Factor Authentication and click on “Get Started.” You need to choose the security method and select the Authentication app.

Choose to Set Up Another Way. Copy the secret key on the next screen.

Open the Authenticator App and at the bottom of the screen, tap the plus (+) button and tap on "Enter Code Manually." Paste the copied key into the security key section along with your account details. Finally, tap on “ADD.”

Copy the Instagram numerical token. Note that this code updates every 30 seconds. Return to the Instagram app and tap on Next. Enter the numerical token in the appropriate field. After entering, tap Next.
