To enhance the security of your Dropbox account, enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a must. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up 2FA using the Authenticator App.
Step By Step Guide

STEP 01
For iOS: Visit the App Store and search for "Authenticator App" Download and install the app.
For Android: Head to the Google Play Store, search for "Authenticator App" and install it.

When logged into your Dropbox account,Click on your account icon at the top right corner of the screen.Then, from the dropdown menu, Click on settings.

Under the security section, click on the toggle switch to turn on Two-Step Verification.

Click on “Get Started” and select "Use a mobile app" and press on "Next". On the Next screen, enter your dropbox account password for verification and Tap on next. On the next Screen go for "Use a mobile app" and click on next.

A popup window will appear you to scan the QR code with authenticator app. Keep this window open as you reach for your phone. Open the Authenticator app, and at the bottom of the screen, tap the plus(+) button and hold your device up to the computer to scan the QR code.

After successfully scanning the QR code, Authenticator app will automatically choose the dropbox logo and autofill the account name and secret key. If you want, you can change the icon or the account name. Press on Done when ready.

Copy the numerical code provided from Authenticator app, confirm it on the Dropbox website, and then click Next. Note that this code refreshes every 30 seconds.
